casa mama

freeport, maine

The third project in collaboration with Collinsbrook Construction, Casa Mama elevates a primary, single floor plate afloat in a field of lupine.  Each discrete program - entry, primary bedroom suite, study, guest loft, and kitchen - bookend to the east of a light-washed, vaulted great room that spills out into curated landscape pockets created between the primary and garage massing.  Curated structural framing, envelope and detailing deliver a highly optimized and stable interior with minimal environmental footprint. As an electric home, Casa Mama provides a surplus of energy generation back to the grid.
